Education & Outreach

Through the generosity & support of our members, we are able to offer master classes, clinics & concerts to our area schools.

We also provide annual scholarships to high school students who wish to seek education degrees in music.

We have a variety of classes for students of all ages. The most wonderful part of these outreach programs - They are FREE . There are no charges whatsoever to the schools.

Help to preserve our great American Art Forms by keeping Jazz and Blues alive in our communities. To present a music program to your students, or receive information on our annual scholarships, simply contact Al Hager, Scholarship Chairman.
Each year the Jazz Society awards merit scholarships to worthy area high school graduate musicians and singers, who have displayed high academic achievement, good citizenship and promising musicianship. Plans are being undertaken by the Jazz Society to establish an ongoing scholarship fund for deserving awardees who continue to show superior achievement in their college careers. Scholarships are funded by memberships in the Jazz Society and from revenues earned from the Saturday morning Jazz Market in Ft. Pierce, which is managed by the Jazz Society.  In addition to scholarships, winners received a year’s membership to the Ft. Pierce Jazz and Blues Society.
